Alexander John Gregory MD, FRCPC is an anaesthesiologist and clinical assistant professor at the University of Calgary. His undergraduate degree is a BSc (honours), having majored in neurobiology and behaviour at Cornell University. He then attended medical school and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Calgary.
Following this he spent one year in Philadelphia where he obtained fellowship training in cardiothoracic anaesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently a member of the Department of Anesthesia at the Foothills Medical Centre, Dr. Gregory provides care for both cardiac and non-cardiac patients.
His current areas of interest include: aortic physiology and disease, spinal cord ischemia, neuroprotection in cardiac surgery and congestive hepatopathy.
