Support from CARF is instrumental in setting Canadian anesthesiology researchers up to succeed in completing practice changing research for the benefit of the millions of Canadians we care for each year.  Thanks to CARF funding, we now have a much deeper understanding of the needs of older surgical patients, how to effectively identify those at greatest risk of adverse outcomes, and are starting to develop strategies to effectively deliver optimal postoperative recovery.
